Small in scale.
Rich in character.
Draguć belongs to the municipality of Cerovlje, in inland Istria. Its ridge-top setting gives a short walk a remarkable sense of arrival: the houses, the square, then the open country beyond.

Follow the stone
Begin at the edge of the village and continue along the main street. Leave time for doorways, worn thresholds and the changing proportions of the buildings. This is a lived-in place, so stay on public paths and give homes their privacy.

Pause in the square
The parish church of the Holy Cross, its bell tower and the broad shade of the trees create a natural place to stop. Around the square, the landscape opens towards the country around Grimalda and Lake Butoniga.

A village with a cinematic life
Its preserved architecture has brought Draguć onto film and television screens, earning it the nickname “Istrian Hollywood”. The greater pleasure is meeting the village beyond that nickname: ordinary doors, quiet corners, and a landscape that needs no set dressing.
